안녕하세요?

현재 COVID-19로 어려움을 겪고 있는 분들에게 위로의 말씀을 전합니다. 힘든 상황을 잘 이겨 내길 기원합니다.

저희 매니토바 한글학교도 이러한 어려움을 어떻게 극복할 수 있는지 여러 방법으로 검토해 보았습니다.

우선 이번 학사 년도인 6월까지는 학교에서 정상적인 수업 진행이 어렵습니다.

따라서 학생들이 가정에서 할 수 있는 온라인 콘텐츠, 읽기, 쓰기 자료 등과 같은 다양한 과제들을 제공하고자 합니다. 각 한글반 담임교사가 반 별로 가정에서 할 수 있는 과제들을 학생들에게 매주 제공할 예정입니다. 또한 격주로 교사들이 학생 혹은 학부모들과 통화하며 안부를 물을 예정입니다. 공부는 연습량과 비례합니다. 교실에서 교사를 만나서 공부하는 것보다 집에서 혼자 공부하는 것이 더 중요합니다. 교사를 통해 제공되는 과제 자료들은 한국어 실력 향상에 도움이 될 것입니다. 학생들이 이러한 과제들을 열심히 하다 보면 본인의 한국어 실력이 향상되는 것을 느낄 수 있을 것입니다. 학생들은 이러한 과제들을 열심히 해 주십시오. 또한 부모님들은 학생들이 과제들을 할 수 있도록 도와 주시기 바랍니다.

글동산(yearbook)은 5월에 제작하여 각 가정으로 우편 발송해 드리겠습니다. 3월 7일에 결석으로 인해 사진 촬영을 못한 학생은 4월 30일까지 담임교사에게 개인 사진을 제출해 주십시오. 글동산 제작이 완료되면 수료증과 함께 6월 중에 가정으로 우편 발송해 드리겠습니다.

지금의 힘든 상황들을 잘 이겨내고 건강한 모습으로 9월에 다시 만나길 기원합니다.

Hello everyone,

I am writing to those who are currently struggling with COVID-19 and all the problems it has brought upon your families. I hope you can overcome this difficult situation.

Our Manitoba Korean School has considered in various ways on how to overcome these difficulties. 

As everyone would understand, it will be difficult to conduct normal classes at school until June this school year. Therefore, we want to provide a variety of tasks that students can do at home, such as online contents, including reading and writing materials. Our teachers will provide students with homework that can be done at home for each class every week. Also, every other week, teachers will speak to students or parents, providing opportunities to ask more questions and concerns. Studying is proportional to the amount of practice. It is more important to study at home alone than to meet and study a teacher in the classroom. The homework materials provided through the teachers will help improve your Korean language skills. As students work hard on these tasks, they will feel that their Korean language is improving. Students are encouraged to do these tasks. Parents are also encouraged to help students do their homework. 

We will produce a yearbook in May and mail it to each family. Students who were unable to take photos due to absence on March 7th must submit their personal photos to the homeroom teacher by April 30th. When the production of the yearbook is completed, we will mail it to your home in June along with a certificate of completion.

I hope we can all overcome the difficult situations and meet again in September with a fresh start.
