안녕하십니까.
봄이 성큼 다가왔습니다 한글학교 가족 분들 모두, 코비드19 시국에서도 건강하게 잘 지내고 계시길 기원합니다. 이번 호는 올 학년도의 마지막 소식지입니다. 5월, 6월에 있을 행사 및 휴교 안내에 관해 말씀 드리겠습니다.

Hello, It is spring. Hope you are doing well and staying healthy during these hard times.

This is the last newsletter for this school year. The events scheduled for May and June will be announced.

5월 21일 휴교 No school on May 18th

5월 14일 글동산 야외촬영 Photo Day for the Yearbook “Geuldongsan”on May 14th

5월14일에 글동산에 올릴 사진촬영이 있사오니 꼭 출석할 수 있도록 협조 부탁 드립니다. 학교에 못 오는 경우 개인 사진을 담임교사에게 이메일로 보내주시기 바랍니다.

May 14th is scheduled for picture days for the yearbook “Geuldongsan.” Please have the students attend the photo session. Whoever misses the photo day, please send a picture to the homeroom teacher.

6월 4일 기말 시험 Final Exam on June 4th

6월 4일에 최종 기말시험이 있습니다.

Students will write the final exam on June 4th. It will cover all materials taught throughout the school year.

6월 18일 종업식 및 성적표 배부

Year-End Ceremony & Distribution of report cards on June 18th

종업식에서는 개근상, 정근상, 우등상 시상식과 자원봉사증서 수여식이 있습니다. 지각 결석 조퇴를 한 번도 안 한 학생들에게 개근상이, 지각/조퇴를 2번 한 학생들에게 정근상이 수여됩니다. 우등상은 각반의 30%에 해당하는 학생들 중에서 최대 전체 평점의 최고득점자 3명에게 수여됩니다.상을 받지 못한 학생들에게도 노력상품이 수여됩니다. 또한 보조교사 여러분들의 열정적인 봉사에 다시 한번 진심으로 감사의 인사 전합니다.

At the Year-End ceremony, awards will be presented for complete attendance, almost complete attendance and for excellence in school performance. Attendance awards will be given to those students who never missed classes, nor arrived late, or left early throughout the school year. Students with up to two late shows or early leaves will receive an almost complete attendance award. An Excellence Award will be given to the best three of the 30% of students with the highest scores in each class. Those who did not receive any awards will receive a small prize. Volunteer assistants will receive their volunteer certificates. The Korean School Community extends its sincere gratitude and appreciation to all volunteers.

종업식이 끝난 후 반별로 모여서 성적표 및 상장 상품 배부 그리고 자원봉사증서 배부가 있으니 각 반 담임교사에게서 받아가시기 바랍니다.

After the end of the ceremony, each homeroom teacher will hand out the students’ report cards, certificates and prizes as well as volunteer certificates.

2022-23학년도 온라인 등록신청 Online registration for 2022-2023

2022-23학년도의 온라인 등록신청서가 한글학교 웹사이트 www.koschool.ca에 준비되어 있사오니 9월 16일까지 온라인등록을 해 주시면 감사하겠습니다. 등록비는 9월 17일 개학일 수업시작 전에 체크나 현금 또는 e-transfer(info@koschool.ca) 로 지불하시면 됩니다. 체크의 payable 난에는 Manitoba Korean School Inc.를 기입하여 주십시오.

Online registration is ready to accept registrations by Sept.16th at www.koschool.ca. The tuition fee is to be paid on Sept.17th in cash or by cheque, payable to Manitoba Korean School Inc or or via e-transfer( info@koschool.ca).

9월 17일 개학식 안내 Opening Ceremony On Sept. 17th

9월 17일에 2022-2023학년도 개학식이 열립니다. 개학식 후, 각 반 학생들은 담임교사들의 인솔하에 각 교실에서 수업을 시작합니다. 올해에 보여주신 관심과 협조에 감사 드리며 9월 17일 개학일에 모두 다시 만날 수 있기를 바랍니다. 개학식 장소와 시간은 매니토바 한글학교 홈페이지를 통해 추후에 공지하도록 하겠습니다.

An Opening Ceremony will be taking place on Sept. 17th. Korean language classes will be held. Thank you for your interest and support you have shown this year. We are looking forward to seeing you all there. The location and time of the Opening Ceremony will be announced on Korean School website ( www.koschool.ca.)

백일장 글짓기 대회 The Creative Writing Contest

백일장 글짓기 대회가 지난 3월 19일에 진행되었습니다. 다양한 소재와 주제를 다루어 감동을 주는 훌륭한 글들이 많이 제출되었습니다. 글의 종류에 구분 없이 학생부(총37작품) 과 보조교사 부(총2작품) 로 나누어 심사를 하였습니다. 바쁘신 와중에도 모든 작품들을 읽고 심사해주신 전혜진 이사님(심사위원장), 문정은 교장선생님, 김소정 초급3반 선생님, 유주희 중급2반 선생님, 김도이 성인초급반 선생님께 감사말씀 드립니다.

The Creative Writing Contest was held in March 19th. Many impressive works on various topics were submitted. The compiled writings were categorized into either a student-group (total of 37 works) or volunteer-group (total of 2 works) and evaluated accordingly. I would like to express my appreciation to the judges for their patience and painstaking effort: Dr.Hyechin Jun,Chairman of the Judges, Ms.Lucia Moon, Ms.Sojeong Kim, Ms.Juhee Yu, and Ms. Doyi Kim. Prizes awarded on June 18th, 2022.

말하기대회 및 퀴즈대회The Speech Contest& Quiz Contest

말하기 대회가 지난 4월 30일 10시부터 학교에서 진행되었습니다. 기초반 학생들을 비롯한 어린이반 학생들의 발표 능력이 뛰어나 보는 이들을 아주 흐뭇하게 했습니다. 그리고 함께 진행된 퀴즈대회에서는 학생들의 한국 문화와 역사에 대한 이해도가 빛나기도 하였습니다. 다양한 상품으로 인해 퀴즈에 대한 학생들의 참여가 더 돋보이는 즐거운 시간이었습니다. 말하기대회 심사위원으로 수고해주신 채희 학부모 회장님, 김은정 중급1반 선생님, 김미영 초급1반 선생님, 문정은 교장 선생님(심사위원장, 시간채점 및 심사평), 김은혜 총무님(총점집계)께 감사의 말씀을 드립니다..

The School held an annual Speech Contest on April 30th in the school. It was a great joy to experience the outstanding speaking skills of our students, from Kindergarten to Advanced Class. In the quiz contest, students excelled in their knowledge of Korean culture and history. Prizes encouraged students all the more to participate in the quiz contest. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude and appreciation to the following judges for their support and fair evaluations: Ms. Bonnie Kais, Chairman of Parents’ Association of Manitoba Korean School,
