n Course Description
This course introduces students to the modern Korean language. The course aims to provide a solid base in vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation through speaking, listening, writing and reading exercises. Students with little to no knowledge of Korean should register at this level. This course is primarily designed for participants to develop comprehension of basic Korean. In this course, students will achieve basic pronunciation, speaking and reading skills.
n Course Delivery
This course is delivered in a classroom environment. Students will be introduced to topics using a variety of methods including lecture and group activities. Students will be expected to have three tests throughout the school year in order to assess their understanding of Korean. The tests are scheduled on December 8, April 6, and June 1.
n Student Commitments
ü 2 hours scheduled daytime attendance per week.
ü Instructors will notify students at the beginning of the term of any course-specific communication methods.
