안녕하세요. 학부형님 가정의 평안과 원하시는 모든 일들이 잘 이루어지기를 기원합니다. 2학기도 어느덧 중반을 향해가고 있는, 다가오는 봄이 기다려지는 3월입니다. 이번 소식지에서는 3월, 4월 행사에 대해 안내말씀을 드리고자 합니다.

3월 29일, 4월 5일, 4월 19일은 휴교이니 양지하시기 바랍니다.

I hope your family is doing well and that everything you wish for is coming to fruition. As we approach the midpoint of the second semester, the arrival of spring in March brings anticipation. This newsletter announces the events to schedule for March and April. There are no classes on Feb. 15th.Apr.5th and Apr 19th 

3월 22일 Mar 22th: 백일장 Creative Writing Competition on March 22th

백일장 글짓기 대회를 진행합니다. 학생들이 학부모님들의 도움 없이 자율적으로 자유롭게 글을 쓸 수 있도록 해 주시면 좋을 것 같습니다. 백일장 공모내용은 다음과 같습니다.

• 대상: 매니토바 한글학교 전교생 (의무) – 글동산 개인 작품 제출용

• 내용: 만들기, 그림일기, 시, 수필, 소설 – (원고지 사용: 선택사항) 

• 주제: 자유 주제 - 위니펙 겨울, 캐나다에서 나의 일상, 대한민국 (한국과 관련된 어떠한 내용도 모두 좋습니다. – 예: 좋아하는 한국음식, 한국 요리 레시피, 내가 좋아하는 K-drama, 한글공부의 필요성, 한국방문 했을 때의 추억, 한국역사인물에 대한 생각, 한글로 된 책을 읽고 난 후의 독후감 등) 

• 시상내역: 각 반별 시상 (으뜸상, 버금상, 참가상…)

• 심사내용: 주제의 독창성, 창의적인 사고, 창의적인 표현, 주제에 대한이해, 바른 글씨체, 한국교육유무

• 마감일: 3월22일 수업시간

The School is holding a Creative Writing Competition this year. All the works must be submitted by March 16th, 2024. It would be great if students could write on their own without any help of parents. The adult students are advised to write their own essays as well. Below are the details for the writing competition.

• Participants: Current Students in MKCHLS

• Genre: Poem, Essay, Novel

• Topic: Free Topic – Winter in Winnipeg, My Daily Life in Canada, Korea (All content related to Korea: e.g., favorite Korean food, Korean cooking recipe, my favorite K-drama, benefits of learning Korean, memories of visiting Korea, thoughts about Korean historical figures, a review of a book in Korean, etc.)

• Prizes: Grand Prize, First Prize, Second Prize, Third Prize, Special Prize, Participation Prize

• Evaluation criteria: Originality, Creative thinking, Expression, Understanding of topic, Penmanship

• Deadline: March 22th in class 

4월 26일 Apr 26th : 말하기 대회 & 한국 역사 문화 퀴즈 Speech Contest & Quiz on Korean History and

Culture

말하기 대회와 한국 역사/문화 퀴즈대회가 4월 26일에 예정 되어 있습니다. 각 반별 예선을 통과한 학생들이 본선을 치를 것 입니다. 특히, 성인반 학생들도 이 말하기 대회를 통해 자신의 실력을 스스로 평가해보는 기회를 가지도록 많은 참여 바랍니다. 다시 한번 학부모님들을 모실수 있는 기회가 되기를 바라며, 세부사항은 일정에 따라 추후 통보해 드리겠습니다. 

We are also planning a speech contest and quiz contest on April 26th. Students who have passed the preliminaries in each class will compete in the Final. The quiz contest on Korean history and culture will be held as well. It’s a great opportunity to perform not only the Korean Language but also what we have learned in our class. Adult students will also have an opportunity to test their skills through these events. We are looking forward to seeing parents once again, and details will be notified later according to the schedule.

한글학교는 정부 지원금과 개인 기부자님들의 정성으로 운영되고 있습니다. 기부자분들께서는 기부금 영수증을 통해 택스신고시 세액공제를 받을 수 있습니다. 기부 방법은 e-transfer(info@koschool.ca)를 통하여 송금해주신 뒤 기부금 영수증을 요청해주시면 됩니다. 

물품이나 간식관련 기부는 204-295-3681으로 문의 부탁드립니다. 한글학교의 운영과 발전을 위한 관심과 후원에 깊이 감사드립니다. 

The Korean School operates with government subsidies and the generous contributions of individual donors. Donors can qualify for tax deductions by providing donation receipts when filing their tax returns. To make a donation, you can send money via e-transfer to (info@koschool.ca) and request a donation receipt.

한국문화체험 한마당을 여러분의 참여와 성원 덕분에 잘 치루었습니다. 후원 물품과 후원금 보내주신 분들, 티켓 구매와 참여의 방식으로 후원해주신 분들 학부형 모두에게 진심으로 감사드립니다. 

후원단체, 비즈니스, 개인기부자 순으로, 그리고 기부자 명단은 가나다 순으로 정렬하였습니다.
