Newsletter no. 3 for January-February 2025

 

안녕하세요. 새해 복 많이 받으시고 원하시는 모든 일들이 잘 이루어지기를 기원합니다. 겨울 방학을 마치고 2학기를 맞이하였습니다. 이번 소식지에서는 1월, 2월 행사에 대해 안내말씀을 드리고자 합니다.

2월 15일은 휴교이니 양지하시기 바랍니다.

We hope you had a great holiday break and are recharged for the second term. This newsletter announces the events to schedule for January and February. There is no school on Feb. 15^th.

 

1월 11일 Jan 11th: 개학 및 1학기성적표 배부 School opens & Sending first term report cards

1월11일에 1학기 성적표가 배부됩니다. First term report cards will be distributed on Jan. 11th.

 

1월 25일 Jan 25^th  : 설날맞이 문화체험 및 글동산용 학생, 보조교사, 교직원 단체사진 촬영 Korean Culture Experience & Photo shoot of all students, volunteers, staff and teachers for the yearbook.

1월 25일 사진 촬영시 한복을 착용할 예정이니 자녀분들의 한복을 보내주세요. Please make sure your child(ren) bring their HANBOK to school for the yearbook photo shoot on Jan.25^th

 

2월 8일 Feb ^th : 매니토바 한글학교 한국문화체험 한마당 K-Culture Festival 

2월 8일 열리는 한국문화체험 한마당 축제는 한글학교 학생, 가족 뿐만 아니라 한글학교를 홍보하고 한국문화에 관심이 있는 모든 분들을 대상으로 하는 행사이므로 주위 이웃, 친구분들과 함께 참석하셔서 즐기시기 부탁 드립니다. 

학부모님들께서는 자녀와 함께 행사에 참여하여 주시길 바랍니다.

The School is hosting the annual Cultural Experience Day on Feb. 8^th. The Korean culture experience festival is an event for not only students and families of Korean school but also those who are interested in Korean culture, so please come and enjoy it with your neighbors and friends. We ask parents to participate in the event with their children.

 

오전 10시부터 오후 1시까지 그랜트파크 하이스쿨 지하 카페테리아에서 진행되는 행사는 미술활동, 만들기, 음식체험, 

재미있는 게임, 퀴즈 참여 등을 통하여 한국문화를 직접 체험하고 즐기는 참여식 프로그램들로 이루어져 있습니다. 학생들은 자유롭게 관심있는 프로그램을 선택하고 참여함으로써 한국 문화를 체험할 수 있는 기회를 가지게 됩니다.  

The event, which runs from 10am to 1pm at Grant Park High School’s cafeteria. It consists of participatory programs that offer Korean cultural experiences and fun activities through Korean arts and crafts, foods, fun game and so much more. Students will have the opportunity to experience Korean culture by freely selecting and participating in programs they are interested in.

 

한국음식(떡, 김밥) 및 전통차 판매도 함께 이루어질 예정이며 카드/데빗 결제가 불가하고 현금결제만 가능함을 알려드립니다.

Korean food (rice cake, gimbap) and traditional tea will also be sold, and we do not accept credit/debit cards, but only cash.

또한 행사진행을 위한 자원봉사자를 모집 중에 있습니다. 다양한 포지션 (음식판매, 사진촬영, 안내 등)에서 봉사의 손길이 필요합니다. 봉사해주실 수 있는 학부모님께서는 담임 선생님 혹은 교장, 교감 선생님께 알려주시면 감사하겠습니다.

We also need volunteers for the event. Volunteer help is needed in various positions (food sales, photo shoots, guidance, etc.). Please let your homeroom teacher, principal, or vice-principal know if you can volunteer or if you know someone who would like to volunteer.

한글학교는 정부 지원금과 개인 기부자님들의 정성으로 운영되고 있습니다. 기부자분들께서는 기부금 영수증을 통해 택스신고시 세액공제를 받을 수 있습니다. 기부 방법은 e-transfer(info@koschool.ca)를 통하여 송금해주신 뒤 기부금 영수증을 요청해주시면 됩니다.

The Korean School operates with government subsidies and the generous contributions of individual donors. Donors can qualify for tax deductions by providing donation receipts when filing their tax returns. To make a donation, you can send money via e-transfer to (info@koschool.ca) and request a donation receipt.
