안녕하십니까? 2학기도 벌써 중반에 접어들고 있습니다.

3월 26일과 4월2일은 봄방학 휴교이며, 4월 16일은 부활절인 관계로 휴교입니다.

주 정부 안내에 따라 3월 15일부터 실내 마스크 착용의무화가 폐지됩니다. 그러나 가급적 마스크 착용을 권장합니다.

Hello! We are already in the middle of the second term.

Spring break is on March 26th & April 2nd. No school is on April 16th because of the Easter holiday. Starting on March 15th, the Manitoba government will be terminating the mask mandate. However, it is recommended to wear a mask whenever possible.

1.     글동산 사진 촬영 연기 안내Postponement of Yearbook Photo shoots 3월 5일과 3월 12일에 예정된 글동산용 사진촬영을 3월19일과 4월 9일로 연기합니다. 3월 19일에는 출석한 모든 학생들을 대상으로 촬영하며, 4월 9일은 3월 19일에 결석한 학생들을 대상으로 촬영이 진행됩니다. Our yearbook Photo shoots scheduled forMarch 5th and 12th will be postponed to March 19th and April 9th respectively. Everyone in attendance on March 19th will be taking pictures for the yearbook. April 9th will be only for those who are absent on March 19th.

2.     교장,학부모 간담회 개최 Principal and Parents Meeting

           일시 및 장소: 4월 9일 오전 10:00-12:00, 학교 카페테리아

           Time &Location: April 9th, 10am-12pm, School Cafeteria

           학부모님들의 많은 참여 부탁 드립니다. We hope to see a lot of participation from the parents!

 

3.     3월19일 백일장 Creative Writing Competition on March 19th

백일장 글짓기 대회를 진행합니다 .원고지 작성법은 수업 중에 담당교사들이 지도해 주십니다. 학생들이 학부모님들의 도움 없이 자율적으로 자유롭게 글을 쓸 수 있도록 해 주시면 좋을 것 같습니다. 백일장 공모내용은 다음과 같습니다.

공모대상:한국어 초급반, 중/고급반, 성인  초/중급반 학생

공모내용: 시, 수필, 소설

주제: 자유주제

분량 (200자원고지기준): 시: 1-3매 내외,        수필: 1-5매 내외  소설: 10 매 내외

시상내역: 최우수상, 으뜸상, 버금상, 장려상, 특별상, 참가상

심사내용: 주제의 독창성, 창의적인 사고, 창의적인 표현, 주제에 대한이해, 바른 글씨체,

마감일: 3월19일 수업시간

 

The School is holding a Creative Writing Competition this year. Students can prepare texts and submit them in a special paper by March 19. Each homeroom teacher will distribute the paper and teach the students how to use it. I would also like to advise you not to interfere in the students’ work, but to let them write freely on their own. The adult students are advised to write their own essays as well. Below are the details for the writing competition.

Participants: Introductory, Intermediate and Advanced Classes, Adult Introductory and Intermediate Classes

Genre: Poem, essay, novel

Topic: Free topic

Quantity: Poem: Approx. 1-3 pp.; essay: approx. 1-5 pp.; novel: approx. 10 pp. (200-syllable paper)

Prizes: Grand Prize, First Prize, Second Prize, Third Prize, Special Prize, Participation Prize

Evaluation criteria: Originality, creative thinking& expression, understanding of topic, penmanship

Deadline: March 19th in class

 

4.     말하기 대회 & 한국 역사 문화 퀴즈 Speech Contest & Quiz on Korean History and Culture

심사위원님들과 학부형들을 모시고 말하기 대회가 개최됩니다. 기초. 초급반, 중고급반, 성인반 순으로 진행되며 한국 역사 문화 퀴즈도 있을 예정입니다. 소정의 상품도 준비되어 있으니 우리 학생들이 그 동안 갈고 닦은 한글과 문화 역사에 대한 실력을 보여줄 수 있도록 부모님들의 각별한 협조 부탁 드립니다. 그리고 성인반 학생들도 이 기회를 통해 자신의 실력을 스스로 평가해보는 기회를 갖도록 많은 참여 바랍니다.

 

일시 및 장소: 4월 30일 오전 10:00-12:00, 학교 카페테리아

참가대상:  전교생, 외부예선 통과자

대회방식:  반별 예선대회(전교생 참가) 4월 23일 오전 10:00-11:00

본선대회(예선 통과 학생 참가) 4월 30일 오전 10:00-12:00

주제:자유주제 (백일장 원고를 구문으로 바꿔서 사용 가능)

분량 및 시간:최대 레터 사이즈로 한 장

시간: 1분-3분

시상내역:

           최우수상:어린이반, 성인반 중 최고득점자 한 명씩 수여

반별 수상: 참여자 수에 따라 최고득점자 순으로 수여

ü  으뜸상:참가자 1-3명 중 한 명

ü  으뜸상, 버금상: 4-6명중 두 명

특별상:상 받을 수준은 안 되지만 특별한 부분이 우수한 경우 수여

본선 참가상: 본선에 참가한 학생 중 상을 못 받은 학생 

예선 참가상: 예선에 참가한 학생 중 본선에 못 나간 학생. 상장 없이 상품만 수여

전년도 어린이반, 성인반 최우수상자: 올해 대회에 참여 불가하나 발표기회 갖고 상품 수여

심사내용:한국거주기간, 유창성, 표현력, 준비성, 발표시간 (평가기준 일률적으로 적용)

 

The Speech Contest will be held in the presence of judges and parents in school cafeteria in order of the Basic/Introductory classes, Intermediate/Advanced and Adult. The quiz contest on Korean history and culture will be held as well. There will be small prizes; so I would like to ask you to help your children to show their skills in the Korean language, history and culture at the contests. Adult students will also have an opportunity to test their skills through these events.

 

When and where: April 30, 10am-12pm, School cafeteria

Participants: All students

Schedule: April 23, 10am-11am: In-Class contest

April 30: School contest (Only those who passed in-class contest) 10am-12pm

Topic: Free topic

Length of the script: Max. 1 letter size

Speech time: 1-3mins.

Awards:

Grand Prize: One winner each for Children’s and Adults’ classes

Class winners: Awards to those with highest points based on the number of participants

ü  One winner out of 1-3 participants

ü  Two winners out of 4-6 participants

Special Prize: Those, who are not qualified for the above prizes, but who excel in particular criteria

School Contest Participation Prize: Participants in the School contest, who did not receive any award

In-Class Contest Participation Prize: Participants in the in-class contest, who did not advance to the School contest. Small prize without certificate

Last year’s winner in children and adults classes: Not eligible for the contest, but they are given an opportunity to present their speech. A small prize will be awarded.

     Evaluation criteria: The time period of their stay in Korea, eloquence, expressions, manner of presentation, and speech time
